Just wanted to pop in and tell you about an absolutely incredible transformational story about one of our clients.
They brought their pup in for a board and train.
So here she was staying with us after being kicked out of another doggie day care training facility because she was fighting with other dogs.
When she first arrived she was lunging, pulling, growling, and she basically wanted to attack any other dog in sight.
(Can you imagine if your four-legged furry family member, whom you loved with all your heart, behaved that way around other dogs?
It would crush you.
AND on top of that you’re then kicked out of a day care? You’d feel like you had nowhere to turn. And that’s exactly how this client felt when they first came to us.)
With proper “unlearning” and getting to the root of the cause, we were able to undo all of those “bad behaviors” and then build upon a solid foundation of proper behavior and actions.
NOW she comes weekly for daycare and she’s perfect.
She runs, and plays, and has the biggest “doggy smile” the whole time.
She loves the other dogs she gets to spend time with.
AND her owner finally feels like a good pup parent! Their stress has melted away and they get to enjoy all the quality time they spend with the dog.
What first seemed like an insurmountable situation for our client actually turned into a beautiful story with a happy ending BECAUSE we were able to completely modify her behavior.
BUT…
There’s no way we would’ve been able to do so in a one-hour group class or a one-hour private lesson.
The way to modify that behavior is by immersing them in an environment that’ll help them learn, not just for an hour, one day a week, but for an extended period of time.
AND that environment HAS TO BE a healthy environment that your pup feels safe in, that’s not over stimulating for them.
So if you’re feeling frustrated or unsure of what to do next, give us a call, chances are we can help you too.
Talk soon,
Stacy
PLUS: Whenever you’re ready… here are 2 ways I can help your Four Legged Furry Family Member
1. Book your pup for a Board and Train
My favorite thing to do is to help people with their dogs. If you have a particularly reactive pup the Board and Train (B&T) is exactly what the doctor ordered to help you improve all kinds of behaviors. If you’d like to learn more about my B&T just reply to this email with “B&T” in the subject line.
2. Join our Fusion Program and be a Case Study
I’m putting together a new Fusion Program case study group this month… stay tuned for details. If you’d like to work with me on your improving your life with your pup… just reply to this message and put “Fusion Program” in the subject line.
